Associate Professor Rebecca Patrick is a senior academic and practitioner with extensive expertise in climate change and public health. Based at the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health, University of Melbourne, she leads research, policy engagement, and capacity-building initiatives focused on climate and health assessment, sustainable healthcare, and climate-related mental health interventions. Her research expertise spans participatory, qualitative, and co-design methods to address the health impacts of climate change.

Rebecca holds key sector leadership roles, including former President and Chair of the Australian Climate and Health Alliance, Co-Lead of the Planetary Health Alliance Oceania Hub, and Co-Lead of the Climate and Public Health Education Network within the Council of Academic Public Health Institutions Australia (CAPHIA).

Before completing her PhD in 2012, Rebecca worked for more than a decade in health promotion and prevention with priority populations across the UK, Africa, and Australia.
