Nell Reidy

About

Nell Reidy is a Research Fellow with the Fire to Flourish program at Monash University. She is a settler-descended researcher with a focus on trauma-informed and healing-centred community engagement. She has engaged in collaborative research with First Nations communities across Australia for over 7 years and is focused on building and maintaining trusting and respectful relationships to develop research priorities and positive outcomes for communities.

Prior to joining Fire to Flourish, Nell worked in State Government, where she led extensive community engagement and innovative policymaking. This included the design, implementation and evaluation of a resourcing program supporting First Nations communities to work towards their collective aspirations, including Treaties with the Victorian Government.

Nell is a skilled facilitator, with training and experience in negotiation, and enjoys working with groups to record their experiences and to support them to achieve collective aspirations.
