Dr. Hang Young Lee is a Lecturer of Sociology in the School of Social Sciences at Macquarie University. He is a sociologist who studies economic inequality using quantitative research methods. Most of his research uses large-scale social survey data (e.g., the Survey of Consumer Finances (SCF) in the United States and the Household Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia (HILDA)) and examines economic inequality using cutting-edge statistical and visualisation methods. He is also an expert in social surveys and has contributed to the design or implementation of several social surveys in Australia and the United States (e.g., the Social Capital Survey, the Syrian Refugee Survey, and the COTA NSW Consumer Survey). He is currently involved in the design of a new survey focusing on the adoption of a new horticultural practice by growers in the Northern Rivers, NSW.
