Dr Navid Ghajarnia is a research scientist at the Hydrological Applications team of the Bureau of Meteorology. His major expertise and interest include hydro-climatic model evaluation and post-processing, water resources analysis and climate change, big data, and stakeholder engagement. Navid is particularly interested in understanding and predicting different hydro-climatic patterns and hazards under the changing climate. With experiencing the industry and academia in Australia, Europe, the US, and the middle east, Navid has a broad international network and great intercultural communication skills. Navid received his PhD in Water Resources Engineering from the University of Tehran (2015), a Fellowship in Natural Resources and Climate Change from the University of California-Davis (2017), and a Postdoc in Global Hydrology from Stockholm University (2019).
