Dr Laurel Johnson from The University of Queensland is an award-winning urban and social planner with over 30 years’ experience in the public, private and academic sectors. Laurel has led, designed, and participated in over 60 applied research projects, many of which influenced the policies and programs of various Australian Local and State governments, and non-government organisations in the fields of social infrastructure, housing supply, social planning, urban planning and transport provision. Laurel has extensive experience in co-design methods, community-guided place-based collaboration, and strategic and statutory planning.
