Dr Katie Meissner is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in The University of Queensland’s Business School. Katie has six years’ experience teaching management and strategy courses to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Katie’s responsibilities include writing reports and articles on research outcomes for expert and non-expert audiences in business, NGO and government sectors. Katie has expertise in data gathering and analysis, qualitative interviewing and literature reviews. Key research areas of interest lie in the fields of insurance and protection gap entities, sustainability, environmental communication, stakeholder communication and engagement processes. Prior to obtaining her PhD, Katie worked in communication roles across a variety of industries including mining, transport, tourism and retail.
