Professor Amisha Mehta is a researcher and educator in risk, crisis, and marketing communication in the Faculty of Business and Law at QUT. She applies this expertise in natural hazard risk and emergency settings and in emerging technologies including carbon capture and storage and hydrogen energy. Amisha’s research designs optimal communication to support organisational and individual decision-making and safety. She has led or co-led grants totalling $3.7 million in the last decade and co-edited the Routledge Handbook of Risk, Crisis, and Disaster Communication. Amisha actively works with industry to translate findings into practice and can be seen in national and organisational policy. Her teaching and research have been recognised by national and industry associations.
