About

Chris Bearman is an Associate Professor of Cognitive Psychology at Central Queensland University in Australia, a Visiting Fellow at the University of Central Lancashire in the United Kingdom and a volunteer firefighter in the South Australian Country Fire Service. He won the Harry C Bigglestone Award for effective communication of fire protection concepts in 2019 and has been awarded both an Australian National Emergency Medal and a New South Wales Premier’s Bushfire Emergency Citation. He conducts research into decision making and non-technical skills in emergency management, rail, aviation and space missions.
