This project explores how civic technologies can improve the scalability and inclusivity of community-led disaster resilience efforts, while critically examining any unintended consequences.

 

Project details

Civic technologies refers to the use of technology to enhance the relationship between people and their government through communication, decision making and service delivery. The use of civic technologies is likely to enhance the extent to which diverse and nuanced community input can influence policies, rules, and regulations.

This project explores how civic technologies can improve the scalability and inclusivity of community-led disaster resilience efforts, while critically examining any unintended consequences.

These research findings will generate a set of valuable outcomes to strengthen disaster resilience in Australia by advancing innovative strategies for effective and inclusive participation in community decision making.
