Expressions of Interest (EOI) are now open for a project to review the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action’s (Victoria) (DEECA) Ecosystem Resilience Program.
EOI submissions close 5pm AEST, 20 September to research@naturalhazards.com.au.
Commissioned by DEECA, this project will ensure resampling for ecosystem resilience monitoring is scientifically robust and sufficient to inform fire management activities.
Project outcomes will include:
- clearly defined long-term sampling strategy underpinning the future direction of the Ecosystem Resilience Program
- program capacity development to collect robust ecosystem resilience data that will inform and improve fire management on public land in Victoria
- the Ecosystem Resilience Program is strengthened to continue to provide appropriate quantitative data that fulfils DEECA’s obligations under the Code of Practice for Bushfire Management on Public Land
Project teams responding to this call for EOI are required to address the specified criteria, which includes a project proposal and budget.
