The recently published July edition of the Australian Journal of Emergency Management (AJEM) provides a focus on gender, diversity and inclusion.
Through a variety of research articles, reports and news, the special edition aims to reinforce a foundation of inclusiveness in reducing disaster risk. The publication provides an important evidence base and step forward toward building a safe and diverse sector for emergency services and management workforces and the communities they serve.
Included in the edition is Dr Tegan Larin’s Gender and sexual minorities and disaster: balancing structural and agentic perspectives, which formed part of Natural Hazards Research Australia (the Centre) and Gender and Disaster Australia’s International Women’s Day online panel discussion, Count Her In: Invest in Women.
