This 60-minute webinar showcased projects, practical tools, strategies, and resources for schools, organisations and policymakers to promote disaster resilience education and facilitate youth engagement.
Participants heard from Ness Wiebford, Australia Red Cross and their project Youth in Emergencies, Carla Hall, YACVic Rural, Youth Affairs Council Victoria and their Future Proof project. We also heard about the Office of the Advocate for Children and Young People NSW’s program involving young people’s ideas, thoughts and experiences of disaster recovery and preparedness, as well as the voices of young people affected by, learning about and working in disaster.
