About

Mary Cadeddu is Node Research Manager for Victoria and Tasmania, based from our Melbourne node.

Mary is a research program leader with a background in clinical psychology and behavioural science. Completing her PhD with the Bushfire CRC, she profiled cognitive, decision making and relational processes in long-term bushfire planning and preparations, sparking her career-long focus of turning research into action. For more than a decade, Mary has led applied research and behavioural science programs across academia and highly regulated industry. Most recently, she built a national research program for a highly regulated company, introduced governance and prioritisation frameworks, and developed interventions that reduced risky behaviours and fostered safer ones.

Mary brings a strong translation-first approach — embedding impact planning, stakeholder activation and behavioural insights into every stage of research.
