Geoff Reid is Gomeroi man currently living on Western Wakka Wakka, Giabal & Jarowair Country near Toowoomba. He is the First Nations Engagement Lead at the One Basin CRC, with extensive experience working alongside Aboriginal communities across the Murray–Darling Basin. He is a highly respected practitioner in First Nations stakeholder engagement, cross-cultural facilitation, and policy co-design, with a strong background in natural resource management.  

Prior to joining the CRC, Geoff worked with Southern Queensland Landscapes, where he led initiatives that centred Traditional Owner knowledge in landscape-scale restoration and climate resilience. Geoff also holds deep expertise in cultural land management practices, including cultural burning and Indigenous agricultural knowledge systems. As a Grains Custodian with the University of Sydney, he supports the revival and cultivation of native grain species as part of a broader movement for food sovereignty and Indigenous economic development.  

He leads the Cultural Advisor Network within the Flow-MER program (funded by the Commonwealth Environmental Water Holder) and facilitates cross-institutional yarning circles that support First Nations staff, strengthen cultural safety, and build long-term, trust-based partnerships grounded in respect for Country.
